Why does one child spend weeks carrying objects from one place to another, while another crashes, climbs, wraps, pours or endlessly lines things up?
 
Play drives and schemas offer a window into what children are practising, processing and learning through play. Rather than seeing repetitive or unusual behaviours as problems to stop, this workshop helps educators recognise them as meaningful patterns that support brain development, emotional regulation and skill building.
 
Together, we'll explore the common play schemas, the developmental science behind them and practical ways to adapt environments, routines and expectations to better support children's natural urges to explore and learn.
